Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level of qualification. If electrically qualified, current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card required. (Persons without the appropriate card will not be considered).
* City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required.
* Time-served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline.
* Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes, and ACOPs.
* Understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP within hospital buildings.
* High level of organization and time management skills, especially in environments with multiple priorities.
* Sound fault-finding techniques and ability to read drawings.
* Proficient in PC use, including software and systems.
Duties include:
* Prompt completion of work orders for planned maintenance, reactive responses, specialist subcontract work, and remedial tasks.
* Providing routine and specialized engineering maintenance and breakdown support at a hospital site.
* Offering technical, health, safety, and environmental support, acting as a role model for company policies.
* Training and mentoring site-based technicians or assistants.
* Advising hospital managers on engineering matters.
* Promoting a culture of high engineering standards, integrity, and teamwork.
* Covering other hospital sites within the group as needed for absences or additional support.
