Account Director (Hybrid, Huddersfield)


About us

Media Performance is a growing, entrepreneurial media agency. We partner with ambitious brands to drive growth through measurable results, smart strategy and long‑term client relationships.


The role

We’re hiring an Account Director to strengthen our client leadership team. You’ll own senior client relationships and strategy, mentor a small team and drive commercial growth across a varied portfolio. You’ll report to the Strategy Director and work closely with the senior team to deliver client success.


What you’ll achieve


First 90 days

* Build trusted relationships with priority clients and stakeholders.
* Lift the strategic quality of plans and reviews.
* Put quarterly plans, forecasts and SOWs in place across your accounts.


6–12 months

* Grow revenue and improve retention across your portfolio.
* Raise client NPS and pitch win rate.
* Produce case studies that demonstrate measurable impact.


What you’ll do

* Lead senior client relationships and quarterly planning.
* Shape multi‑channel media strategy across the funnel.
* Oversee delivery quality, timelines and reporting standards.
* Own SOWs, pricing and forecasting across your portfolio.
* Lead and contribute to pitches, thought‑leadership and case studies.
* Coach and develop the team on planning & measurement.
* Partner with senior leaders to keep accounts healthy and clients happy.


Who you are

* 5+ years in an agency environment, predominantly digital. Experience with offline channels is a plus.
* Lead & plan integrated campaigns across paid search, paid social, programmatic & retail marketplaces.
* Understand how BVOD/AV, OOH/DOOH & audio fit into the plan, and how to scope them alongside digital media.
* Create a clear measurement plan using GA4, brand‑lift studies, incrementality tests and where appropriate, MMM/econometrics.
* Commercially aware. Confident with pricing conversations, scopes and forecasting.
* A clear communicator who brings energy, initiative and an entrepreneurial mindset.
* A natural coach who raises the bar for the team.


KPIs you’ll own

* Client NPS and retention.
* Client revenue growth.
* Case studies created.
* Reporting quality and on‑time delivery.


Ways of working

* Hybrid from Huddersfield HQ; typically 1–2 days per week in the office (flex based on experience and client needs).
* Occasional travel for client meetings and industry events.
* Standard UK working hours, with flexibility around life commitments.
