The role will span work across the Emirates GBR SailGP Team, Athena Pathway Programme (Britain’s Women’s & Youth America’s Cup Team), and Athena Racing (the British America’s Cup Team). This position will support overall efforts to drive visibility, awareness, and engagement for the teams. It will be based at Athena Sports Group’s office in Portsmouth, UK, with international travel required. Key Responsibilities Edit in-house video content across a wide range of outputs, including behind-the-scenes features, short social reels, brand campaigns, product launches, and event visuals. Cut, colour grade, and add motion design elements to elevate content quality. Manage multiple edits simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high standards. Contribute to the capturing the team’s story through both video and photography. Work closely with creative leads to shape and enhance the visual narrative. Source and edit appropriate music, sound effects, and archival footage to create premium final outputs. Collaborate with design and animation teams to incorporate motion graphics and visual identity elements where needed. Deliver quick turnarounds and adapt rapidly to breaking stories or viral trends. Oversee media file administration – including photo and video labelling, assessment, and management of the team’s media library. Background & Experience 5 years of professional editing experience in broadcast & digital media, social content, or a publisher environment. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent); familiarity with After Effects, CapCut, Blender or other motion design tools is a strong advantage. A strong understanding of storytelling techniques for both short and long-form video, particularly hooks, pacing, and platform-specific optimisation. Experience working with voiceovers, text-on-screen storytelling, and music-driven editing. Proven ability to edit across multiple verticals or genres, ideally including news, action, docu or creator-led content. Demonstrated capacity to edit quickly under pressure without compromising quality. Skilled in both video and photographic capture, as well as post-production. Background in, or passion for, sports media – sailing experience not essential. Requirements Collaborative and responsive, with the ability to take feedback and iterate efficiently.
