Title: Communication Engineer / Messaging Ops Support Engineer (Mattermost/Symphony)
Contract Length: 12 Months
Location: Chester / Bromley (3 days a week on site)
Working Pattern: Full Time (requires out-of-hours support)

Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience managing Skype for Business, Mattermost/Symphony Group Chat, & MS Teams (IM, Online Meetings with content sharing, Persistent Chat Rooms, Mobile IM, B2B Federation, P2P Audio/Video, Audio conferencing & Softphone/Enterprise Voice).
* Experience with Symphony Linux-based persistent chat in the cloud.
* Familiarity with Cisco UC Suite, including Teams, Jabber, and WebEx.
* Experience supporting infrastructure for Symphony.
* Strong skills in Microsoft PowerShell and other scripting technologies.
* Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Splunk and SCOM.
* Ability to interface effectively with key partners like Microsoft, Cisco, Smarsh, Mattermost, Integrated Research, and Red Hat.
* Solid understanding of Active Directory, SQL databases, and networking technologies.
* Experience with Linux servers and virtual platforms.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills for interfacing with software and hardware partners.
* Knowledge of ITIL principles, incident, change, and problem management (a plus).
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and manage our Unified Communications environment for seamless daily operations.
* Handle critical client escalations and oversee infrastructure deployments and changes.
* Implement processes supporting IT infrastructure and deliver quality IT services.
* Monitor application performance, ensuring availability and capacity requirements are met.
* Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams for planning, testing, and troubleshooting solutions.
* Facilitate problem resolution and document root causes for prevention.
* Provide on-call support, including nights and weekends as needed.
Desired Skills:
* ITIL Certification is a plus!
