We are seeking a qualified accountant who enjoys audit to join our growing Audit and Corporate team. As an Audit Senior in Sussex, your office base can be either Horsham or Chichester. We offer hybrid working, involving 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Our clients are located across Sussex, Kent, and London. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of clients of varying sizes across different industries, including not-for-profit, ensuring the delivery of top-quality service within our expanding team.
About the role
Your primary responsibility will be to lead audit teams and manage audits from planning through to completion for a range of clients. You will oversee and train junior auditors, review their work, and collaborate with managers and partners to ensure technical compliance. You will also gain exposure to preparing accounts and corporate tax returns.
1. Audit planning and execution for clients
2. Managing assignments efficiently in terms of cost and time
3. Supervising and coaching junior team members on-site
4. Controlling audit and accounts preparation work by juniors
5. Liaising with clients, HMRC, and partners on work assignments
6. Ensuring adherence to audit procedures
7. Drafting corporation and income tax computations
What we're looking for
* ACA / ACCA qualified (or part-qualified with at least 2 years of audit experience)
* Experience in statutory audits within public practice
* Knowledge of ISA and UK GAAP
* Skills in accounts compilation
* Experience in drafting corporation tax computations
* Excellent client service skills
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong analytical skills
* Experience with CaseWare is desirable
