Responsibilities
* Material analysis and characterization of thermoplastics & thermoset materials (PE, PP, Heat-Shrink materials, EPDM, Silicones & Epoxy) for cable accessories
* Material definition and development to produce functional prototypes out of polymeric materials
* Running-in and optimizing the processes in combination with the product design and the injection molding & extrusion materials (is a plus)
* Quality assurance and documentation tests for dimensions, mechanical and electrical parameters
* Evaluation, documentation and presentation of the development tasks in a global development team
* Creation of technical documentation and evaluations
* Interdisciplinary cooperation in a global development team and with suppliers
Qualifications
* Master or Diploma in Engineering Chemistry or Materials Science (Polymer Technology)
* Several years of professional experience in the field of material development (specifically heat-shrink, PE, PP & EPDM)
* Experience in an international company desirable
* Flexibility for a wide range of tasks
* Good knowledge of spoken and written English
* Independent and structured way of working
* Ability to work in a team, assertiveness, self-motivation
