Robert Half has partnered with a leading engineering business to recruit for a Financial Reporting Manager.


**Must have strong IFRS15 experience**


Location: Remote, with occasional travel required

Reporting to: Financial Controller


Role Overview

This is a senior role with real breadth, covering financial reporting, governance, and controls across a complex, geographically spread business. You will lead audits, maintain the financial controls framework, provide technical accounting guidance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and group standards. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and deputise for the Financial Controller when required, making this an excellent platform for someone looking to step into a FC position in due course.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate internal and external audits
* Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and governance frameworks across the business
* Provide technical accounting advice, with a particular focus on commercial contracts and revenue recognition
* Prepare high-quality reports for senior management and external auditors
* Monitor compliance, identify risks, and implement resolutions
* Review statutory accounts and ensure adherence to accounting standards
* Collaborate with business teams to drive improvements in financial processes and efficiency
* Deputise for the Financial Controller when required


Requirements

* ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
* Big 4 or top-tier mid-market firm training preferred
* Strong IFRS15 experience is essential
* Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a large or geographically spread organisation
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly around commercial contracts
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Strong analytical mindset with a track record of delivering under pressure


Salary & Benefits

* £70,000 – £80,000 per annum
* Annual bonus
