Service Ownership Manager
Manchester or Ruddington, hybrid working model, 2-3 days office based
Fantastic opportunity to secure a highly skilled, determined, and motivated Service Ownership Manager, focussing on ownership of key Smart Metering services, which will reside in the Core Operations functional area of the business and operate at a strategic level. The role I Manchester based on an initial 6 months contract with good scope for extension.
What will you be doing?
You will own and co-ordinate the delivery of the service roadmap from program to Operations, by understanding the needs of the service and the business including monitoring and diagnosing business process associated with the service(s).
Work closely with the DCCs technical teams, Devices, Architecture and Design to assist on all ongoing and future component associated work on the key service and keep Operation teams informed.
Support SEC Modifications and Change Requests of all Industry amendments on key services.
Be responsible for compliance of the key services across Operations, for regulatory and Security purposes, delivering and owning processes and procedures across teams.
Present across Industry and DCC forums on technical and process matters for the key services and communicate effectively to senior stakeholders.
Be privy to comparative, market sensitive Customer and Supplier operational performance data, so must act with highest levels of discretion and integrity.
What are we looking for?
• A thorough understanding of end-to-end Smart Meter infrastructure, messaging syntax and Operational Performance Regime (SLAs and KPIs), with an in-depth knowledge of one of the key services mentioned above, this includes at least 3 years’ experience in this field.
• A strong technical background, ranging from technical component level or from a data environment background ensuring the ability to be a Subject Matter expert in a Smart Metering key service.
• The skills to establish and maintain excellent customer / senior stakeholder relationships at all levels of the DCC and Industry ensuring that clear expectations are being set, delivered and met.
To have a demonstrable track record of effective management of business-critical situations and the ability to effectively influence.
• A proven track record in the development, owning and driving of initiatives to provide continuous service improvements.
• Ability to understand business needs and influence the DCC organization in order to meet them in the most effective and efficient manner.
• The ability to hold In Life Supplier Management to account in order to address performance gaps of Service Providers, who are failing expected outcomes..
• Broad experience of end-to-end service lifecycle from Service Architecture, Design, Transition, early life support, live operations, service decommissioning.
• Strong knowledge and experience of data analytics and reporting, with the ability to observe trend analysis for performance measures and then raise in a proactive manner.
