Role Overview
As a Procurement Manager, you’ll deliver a responsive, efficient and professional service in line with our commercial policy. You’ll support the Associate Commercial Lead and work closely with customers at all levels, managing relationships, developing commercial solutions and overseeing procurement projects across technology, estates, people, professional services and supply chain security.
Responsibilities
* Deliver procurement projects on time and within requirements, coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
* Develop and manage contracts, monitor performance and ensure key performance indicators are met.
* Identify cost savings and value‑added interventions, applying best practice commercial principles.
* Task‑manage a small team, enhance their capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
* Provide status updates to internal and external partners and maintain accurate contract information.
Qualifications
* Experience in contract management, sourcing, commercial policy and assurance, supply chain or low‑value procurement and invoicing.
* Strong commercial acumen, customer focus and knowledge of procurement processes.
* Ability to build rapport with customers, suppliers and team members, and to assess security implications.
* Knowledge of category management approaches delivering cash‑releasing savings.
* Willingness to study towards a professional commercial qualification such as CIPS Level 4 (or equivalent).
Preferred Experience
* Contracting for cloud or AI‑enabled services.
* Experience using AI or cloud‑enabled platforms in commercial delivery.
* Familiarity with AI team projects or onboarding AI with suppliers.
