How You’ll Make an Impact as a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer
As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the QA strategy for our products. You will be responsible for defining and implementing robust testing frameworks, ensuring seamless release management, and driving automation strategies to maintain the highest quality standards.
Your efforts will ensure our applications meet the diverse needs of global supply chains, contributing to our mission of creating sustainable, technology-driven solutions for worldwide trade.
Key responsibilities:
* Define and implement QA strategy aligned with business objectives, covering unit, integration, functional, performance, and security testing.
* Lead automation efforts by developing and maintaining automation frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
* Drive performance and security testing, ensuring resilience through load testing, fault injection, and disaster recovery validation.
* Own release management, including regression testing, smoke testing, and verification of deployment readiness.
* Mentor and lead QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and cross-team collaboration.
* Utilise cloud services (AWS, Postgres, DynamoDB) to implement scalable and reliable testing solutions.
* Champion a data-driven approach, using analytics to monitor system behavior and optimise performance.
What We’re Looking for from You
We're looking for a highly skilled QA leader with a strong background in test automation, cloud technologies, and performance testing. You should have a passion for mentoring teams, driving innovation, and implementing best-in-class QA strategies.
Must-haves:
* Expertise in Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for automation testing.
* Hands-on experience with building and maintaining automation frameworks.
* Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, SNS, SQS).
* Knowledge of Postgres and DynamoDB.
* Deep understanding of unit, integration, functional, performance, and security testing strategies.
* Proven leadership experience in mentoring QA teams.
* Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
* Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter, K6, etc.).
* Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
