As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will use your experience to play an integral part in the business. You will work in a small multidisciplinary team to develop exciting new electronic products for a wide range of applications, including medical devices, wearables, and the Internet of Things.
The Position:
* Work from customer requirements to define and develop new products
* Collaborate in a team environment to deliver innovative solutions
* Design custom electronic circuit boards, including schematic capture and PCB layout
* Board bring-up, verification and test
* Liaise with customers to assist with integration, commissioning and problem resolution
This position involves occasional client meetings and writing technical reports, so a good professional level of written and spoken communication is required
Required Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 5+ years of electronics design experience in industry
* Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related discipline
* Board design, including schematic capture and PCB layout
* Good knowledge of Analogue and Digital Design, including architecture, component selection, design for manufacture, and design for EMC
* Experience designing with microprocessors/microcontrollers, memory devices, programmable logic, power supplies, and wireless communications
Advantageous:
* Experience with WIFI, Bluetooth, Zigbee
* Experience with Altium Designer
* C / C++ / Python
* Embedded software development
* Prior work in a consultancy or R&D position
Location: Hybrid/ Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (+Bonus) Commensurate with experience
Hours: 40 hr. per week. Hours are flexible within office hours.
