We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Registered Nurses with varying experience to join our Bank Care Service.

Joining our Bank Team is a great way to gain clinical skills while working flexibly to suit your lifestyle.


Main duties of the job

Working within a Multidisciplinary Team, you will provide high-quality service to children/young people and their families, ensuring their care, education, and therapy needs are met.

You need to be a registered nurse. Experience working with children and young people with complex disabilities and health needs is desirable. You should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with key stakeholders across the organization.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and across the UK via our Brain Injury Community Service.

Located on a beautiful 24-acre site in Surrey, just outside London, easily accessible via Junction 8 of the M25 and nearby train stations including Clapham Junction, Sutton, and Epsom.

Job responsibilities

You will work as a Bank Registered Nurse to ensure the safe and effective delivery of high-standard, individualized care across a 24-hour period, in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Team.

You will operate within a holistic model to meet care, education, and therapy needs around the clock.


Person Specification


Qualifications

* Registered Nurse
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Degree-level education or equivalent experience


Experience

* Experience working with children/young people with disabilities and complex health needs


Skills & Abilities

* Effective communication within a nursing role
* Understanding of change processes in healthcare
* Holistic approach to children’s care
* Ability to document concise and accurate records
* Work within professional boundaries


Knowledge

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Word
* Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities for vulnerable children and families


Personal Qualities

* Commitment to the organization’s vision and values
* Flexible, motivated, and reliable
* Resilient in demanding situations


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role requires a DBS check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.

Salary ranges from £22.39 to £25.26 per hour, including London weighting, depending on experience.
