Senior / Principal Civil & Structural Designer
We are seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Civil & Structural Designer to join our growing team, delivering projects across the industrial, energy and water sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who can lead design delivery, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the development of junior staff.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Senior / Principal Civil & Structural Designer will include:
* Lead production of steel layouts and connection details
* Lead production of reinforced concrete detailing, schedules and BBS
* Lead production of drainage layouts and foundation drawings
* Checking and reviewing drawings and models for technical compliance and quality
* Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
* Liaise with clients, contractors and site teams during design development and delivery
* Show commercial awareness with the ability to work to programmes, budgets and project deadlines
* Deliver design packages with minimal supervision
* Provide mentoring, guidance and technical coaching to junior team
What We’re Looking For:
The successful candidate will be proactive, technically capable, and confident managing their own workload while contributing to wider project success. You will take pride in producing high-quality deliverables, solving practical design challenges, and helping develop others within the team.
Preferred Profile:
* Extensive practical experience in Civil & Structural design, with proven expertise in structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing
* Proven experience delivering projects within the industrial, energy and/or water sectors
* Proficiency in industry‑standard 2D and 3D design tools, including AutoCAD and Revit (essential) with experience of AVEVA E3D preferred
* Good understanding of Eurocodes and relevant UK civil and structural design standardsExperienced in working with both point cloud data and topographical survey data
* Experience across the full project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through to detailed design
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Reside locally to Pembroke or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage
