Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the Regional Engineer will ensure the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and improvements across the East Midlands Region. The role involves providing solutions to reduce costs and improve plant efficiencies.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key Duties of a Regional Engineer:
* Ownership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completion.
* Perform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying root causes in the repair process.
* Carry out planned maintenance tasks as part of a preventative maintenance strategy.
* Complete risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe operation of all factory equipment and processes.
* Identify and report stock/spares issues.
* Liaise with production on plant outages to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.
* Prioritize workload considering output, product quality, and line efficiency.
* Proactively identify improvements to increase line and machinery efficiencies.
* Complete all line checks and documentation as required.
* Assist in training and developing new starters.
* Act as a role model for best practices.
* Monitor, control, and minimize waste.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Engage in the company’s PDP program.
* Serve as a machinery knowledge specialist.
* Drive personal development through training and work-based experience.
* Manage the output of assigned production lines and address issues promptly.
Qualifications
* Experience in a food factory environment is advantageous.
* Packing experience is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in MS Office packages, including Excel and Word.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others.
* Understanding of health and safety requirements.
* Self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive attitude and focus on deadlines.
* Ability to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
