Job Description
We are recruiting a Contract User Researcher who can work effectively in multidisciplinary, agile teams to deliver excellent results across GDS projects for Version 1’s customers in the public sector.
As a User Researcher you will plan, design and carry out research activities with users that help teams get a deep understanding of the end users. This research informs policy, proposition, service, content, and interaction design so that services work well for users and achieve policy intent.
Responsibilities
* Plan, design and execute user research activities with users.
* Translate research data into clear findings that inform decisions.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to incorporate research insights into design and policy decisions.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of design thinking and evidence‑based design.
* Experience in communicating design processes and decisions effectively to gain the confidence of internal colleagues and customers.
* Experience in agile, multidisciplinary teams and alignment with user‑centred design practices.
* Proficiency in a range of user research methods, selecting appropriate methods for different stages of the product life cycle.
