THE ROLE & TEAM
We are looking for a Legal Support Assistant to join our shared service team. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, proactive PA and administrative support service, showing initiative and working unprompted, enabling fee earners to maximise their fee earning potential and develop their practice.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and ideally come from a legal or professional service background. However, if you’re willing to adapt and learn we will provide fully comprehensive training to candidates from a strong administrative background.
This role can be based out of either our Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds or Lancashire office. We offer hybrid working to ensure work life balance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Act as a point of contact for clients (new and existing) and internal and external contacts
· Management highly confidential materials; including file opening/client inception
· Prepare court bundles
· Manage accurate monthly delivery of volume bills
· Diary management, including making appointments and bookings, diarising hearings and deadlines
· Audio typing/transcription of dictation and documents where required by the fee earners
· Allocate post
· Submit expense claims
· Provide prompts and reminders for fee earners’ important tasks and deadlines
· Assist with the preparation of standard form correspondence
· Implement and maintaining administrative systems and procedures
ABOUT YOU
· Previous experience as an EA/PA or Legal Support Assistant is essential
· Strong administration background
· Excellent Written and Communication Skills
· Able to meet deadlines
· Excellent multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritise workload
· Strong eye for detail
· Team player
· Highly organised
· IT literate, able to use Microsoft packages confidently
