Overview
We are recruiting for a Trust Accounts Assistant within the Tax, Trusts and Compliance team based in our Chichester office. The role provides administrative support to the department and offers the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues. You will work as part of a successful team to contribute to cost-effective fee earning, accounting and taxation work, in a fast-paced office environment with targets for fee earning and time recording.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Tax, Trusts and Compliance team.
* Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain high client care standards.
* Contribute to fee earning activity, accounting and taxation work.
* Record chargeable and non-chargeable time and work towards agreed targets.
* Ensure client work is completed in a timely manner and that clients are kept informed at all stages.
* Collaborate with the team and wider business to champion Irwin Mitchell’s client care values: Expert Hand, Human Touch.
* Engage in professional development to keep knowledge up-to-date and relevant.
* Act as a team player with a genuine desire to learn, progress and build a career.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Exceptional communication skills enabling effective liaison with the team and the wider business.
* Willingness to participate in the group’s onboarding and employment screening process, including eligibility to work in the UK, criminal record and financial checks in line with data protection and legal requirements.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to role, team and client requirements.
