- 8am-6pm We have an exciting opportunity for a Reservoir Supervising Engineer to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

The Water Service Delivery Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
Play a vital role in safeguarding Yorkshires water supply for over 5.2 million people.
As part of our specialist Reservoir Assets Team, youll help ensure the safety, integrity, and compliance of our reservoirs under the Reservoirs Act 1975.
This is a unique opportunity to develop into a fully qualified Reservoir Supervising Engineer through a structured 4-year training plan, while contributing to asset management, risk-based decision-making, and major investment projects.
Where you fit in: As our Reservoir Supervising Engineer you will: Supervise the operation and maintenance of reservoirs and produce annual performance statements.
Take legal responsibility for reservoir safety at all times.
Support the development and implementation of structured training to become a fully competent Reservoir Supervising Engineer within 4 years.
Apply risk management principles to protect and improve reservoir assets.
Plan and carry out asset management activities, including inspections, maintenance prioritisation, and major works.
Develop and maintain integrated asset policies covering design, operation, maintenance, and investment decisions.
Ensure compliance with regulations, business plans, and regulatory targets in all asset-related policies.
Contribute to capital investment programmes for reservoir assets.
Strong technical and engineering expertise, including design, operational, and maintenance knowledge.
Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering.
In-depth understanding of engineering specifications, design guidance, and site process safety.
Ability to work in confined spaces and meet strict medical criteria (BMI, vision, blood pressure, hearing, and spirometry tests) to ensure safety in hazardous environments.
Knowledge of end-to-end delivery processes, including project management plans, risk management, quality techniques, and cost models.
Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook.
