We are currently looking for a Quarry Supervisor to join our friendly team based in our Tarmac Thrislington Quarry, Ferryhill, County Durham. This role is accessible if you live in Ferryhill, Spennymoor, Newton Aycliffe, Peterlee, Sedgefield, Darlington, Bishop Auckland, Consett, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, and surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Section Manager, the Quarry Supervisor will assist in managing a busy quarry. Responsibilities include:
* Operating mobile crushing and screening plants as well as mobile plant
* Administrative and compliance duties
* Using computer systems (Fortek, SAP, Excel, and similar platforms)
* Housekeeping tasks and general maintenance assisting the fitting team
* Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures and encouraging others to do so
* Supervising a team (Operators, Fitters, Electricians) across both quarry sites
* Occasional weekend working on a rota basis
* Working with other Plant Supervisors to ensure the plant is always running at expected capacity and aligned with the manufacturing and production programme
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a quarry and/or asphalt plant environment or similar. Supervisor experience is essential.
Suitable candidates will also:
* Have working knowledge of operating/maintaining processing plant including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump-trucks (experience preferred but not essential)
* Have working knowledge of operating/maintaining fixed and mobile crushing & screening plants (preferred but not essential)
* Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
* Be able to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team, motivating yourself and others to meet site production requirements
* Be IT literate (able to use required computer systems)
* Be flexible in working approach
