The role supports the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager in delivering the Scan4Safety implementation across Westmorland General Hospital and other sites. The successful candidate will provide efficient internal supply chain services, lead users across the Trust, manage the Corporate Operations Supply Chain Team, hold super‑user rights to stock management systems, and deliver training to the Supply Chain Operations Team.
Responsibilities
* Support the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to provide effective supply chain services to all stakeholders.
* Lead and support NHS Supply Chain and Ingenica system users across the Trust.
* Manage day‑to‑day operations for the Corporate Operations Supply Chain Team.
* Maintain super‑user rights to stock management systems and deliver training to team members.
* Ensure compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and DBS requirements for vulnerable people.
Essential Criteria
* 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above or an equivalent qualification.
Desirable Criteria
* CIPS/CILT or equivalent relevant experience.
* Supervisory or management qualification and experience in purchasing and/or logistics/supply chain with team management.
* Risk management and health & safety awareness.
* Experience of NHS Supply Chain stock control.
* Excellent IM&T skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
* Understanding of EU procurement law.
* Significant team‑working and leadership experience.
* Strong purchasing and supply‑chain expertise.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to effectively influence and persuade people.
* Experience of NHS and government/public sector.
* Knowledge of inventory/supply‑chain management systems.
* Effective organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Motivational attitude towards change and development.
* Ability to cope under pressure and communicate at all levels.
* Good organisational and administrative skills.
