Randstad Education is seeking a dynamic and committed Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Southend-on-Sea. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-level teaching depending on your specialism and experience.

If you're a science teacher with experience in teaching a range of abilities across KS3 & KS4, this could be the start of your next teaching adventure!

Requirements:

* QTS (Qualified teaching status) is essential.
* An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
* Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
* Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Science curriculum.
* Work collaboratively with the concerned department and other staff to enrich the curriculum and integrate interdisciplinary approaches.
* A commitment to continuous professional growth and contributing to the broader life of the school.
* Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, such as to enhance students' learning.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
* Use practical experiments, demonstrations, and technology to deepen student understanding.
* Create a classroom environment that fosters inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Provide constructive feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
* Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating science lab/classroom environment.
