The Role
We have an excellent opportunity at Bolton Council due to the strategic expansion of our Corporate Property team. The Corporate Property service is a key enabler of Bolton’s impressive regeneration programme and is involved in a wider portfolio of capital projects currently valued at over £50m.
The Property Support Officer will be responsible for creating and managing property data and systems to support the effective decision-making and delivery of property services with Corporate Property and the wider Council teams. You will manage property data (lease in, lease out, easements, licences etc.) using property management and mapping systems, including the Geographical Information System (GIS) to develop and maintain a clear and accurate representation of the Council’s property ownership and property transactions. You will use this data to update drawings (using AutoCAD) and maintain spatial data records, acting as first point of contact for the estates team.
This is an opportunity for someone to join the team who is experienced in property data with an eye for detail and wants to help shape the future of property data management within the Estates Operations team as it navigates an exciting period of change.
About You
You will be naturally proactive, organised and results driven. We are seeking someone who will make a significant contribution to Corporate Property overall. It’s an exciting time at Bolton Council and we would like to hear from enthusiastic and capable individuals to help us achieve the best results for the borough.
You will need a thorough understanding of property data management and the need for an accurate and representative property portfolio and first-class customer service to ensure we deliver a comprehensive estates management service. You’ll need to be methodical, logical, and comprehensive in your approach to work, with excellent communication skills. You should be confident in working with a wide range of stakeholders including senior management, external stakeholders and Council Members.
