Offer description

Responsibilities

* Provide proactive and generalist support to HR Business Partners on a wide range of employee relations matters.
* Deliver efficient employee service, guiding staff on company policies, procedures and employment legislation.
* Create a positive employee relations approach, coaching and upskilling managers to fulfill their people‑management responsibilities.
* Offer operational support and advice on disciplinary, grievance, appeal and other employee‑relations issues.
* Assist with redundancy consultation processes and TUPE matters when needed.
* Proactively manage absence cases, identify and resolve problematic situations, monitor KPIs and trends to recommend preventive actions.
* Manage an allocated employee‑relations case load.
* Support teams through organisational change, embedding new structures and processes where required.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation and provide sound guidance to management.
* Collaborate with the management team to drive performance on key people metrics.


Qualifications

* Proven track record in an ER/HR role handling disciplinary, grievance, appeals, absence management and redundancy.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR.
* High level of discretion and confidentiality.
* Resilient, flexible, assertive and confident in approach.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.
* Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
* Excellent stakeholder, people and change‑management skills.
* Good analytical and systems skills.
* Customer‑focused approach.
* Strong problem‑solving ability in a fast‑paced business.
