This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites. You will lead a professional team through the planning process, from obtaining satisfactory consents to supporting construction and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is essential.
This role involves ownership of the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring exceptional communication and negotiation skills, the ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.

Please note, you will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week.
Note: To align with company structure, this role is internally titled Senior Acquisitions Consultant.
What you'll do
* Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to expand our store network.
* Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence.
* Manage the full planning application cycle from submission to discharge of conditions.
* Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
* Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, landlords, tenants, agents, and developers.
* Drive the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion.
* Manage real estate assets of freehold and leasehold properties.
What you'll need
* A self-starting attitude with a drive to succeed.
* Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant discipline.
* Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
* MRICS qualification is preferred.
* Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network.
* Legal and commercial property knowledge.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Analytical mindset and multi-tasking ability.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
