Position: HSE Coordinator

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an HSE Coordinator to support the delivery and continuous improvement of health safety and environmental systems within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with legislation and recognised standards while supporting data reporting training and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. HSE Systems and Compliance
2. Coordinate and maintain compliance with health safety and environmental standards including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
3. Manage internal audit schedules track findings and ensure completion of corrective actions
4. Maintain training records incident logs and HSE action trackers ensuring accuracy of data
5. Collect and analyse performance data to support regular reporting

Incident Risk and Energy Management

6. Coordinate the reporting and investigation of incidents near misses and hazards
7. Support root cause analysis and ensure actions are completed
8. Assist in the development and review of risk assessments COSHH assessments and safe systems of work
9. Monitor energy usage and support improvement initiatives

Training Communication and Engagement

10. Maintain training and competency records ensuring all required training is up to date
11. Develop training materials toolbox talks and safety communications
12. Coordinate internal and external training sessions
13. Support initiatives that promote positive health safety and environmental behaviours

Data and Systems Management

14. Use Excel and SharePoint to manage data and produce reports and dashboards
15. Ensure document control and data accuracy across all records
16. Improve templates reports and dashboards to enhance visibility and decision making

Audit Assurance

17. Maintain audit schedules and ensure all audits are completed on time
18. Communicate with responsible individuals ahead of audit deadlines
19. Track audit completion and follow up on actions
20. Support planning and coordination of internal and external audits

Skills and Experience

Essential

21. At least two years experience in an HSE coordination role
22. Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
23. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
24. Advanced Excel skills including data management pivot tables and reporting
25. Experience using SharePoint for document management
26. Experience supporting audits training records and incident management
27. Full clean driving licence

Desirable

28. NEBOSH National General Certificate or working towards
29. Basic knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
