Centurion Staunch Innovative Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and experienced Complex Care Assistant to provide dedicated, one-on-one support. Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care in strict alignment with the individual’s person-centred care plan.
* Safely administer medication and provide feeding support via NG (Nasogastric) tube.
* Continuously monitor for seizures and respond appropriately and swiftly.
* Support with supra-pubic catheter care, including maintaining hygiene, monitoring for potential issues, and reporting any concerns.
* Manage challenging behaviour in a safe, calm, and professional manner.
* Assist with daily personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and other daily living tasks.
* Maintain clear, accurate, and timely care notes and documentation.
* Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with families and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
Requirements (Essential)
* Proven experience working in complex care.
* Hands-on experience with catheter care.
* Experience in supporting individuals who experience seizures.
* Demonstrated ability and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
* Solid theoretical knowledge of NG tube care.
* Exceptional communication and meticulous observation skills.
* A calm, patient, and reliable demeanour, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Highly Desirable Skills
* Direct, hands-on experience with NG tube care.
* Current PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) or MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training, or equivalent.
* Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries, neurological conditions, or learning disabilities.
* Previous experience delivering focused 1:1 or 2:1 care.
