Your opportunity: We are looking for a Head of Sociology who will lead the delivery of Sociology and, ideally, Criminology, inspiring our students whilst fostering a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement. Sociology is a popular option at both KS4 and KS5 and as a subject, achieves consistently high outcomes. Our ideal candidate would also contribute to the teaching of Criminology at KS5. What we are looking for: An excellent practitioner who will deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons to students of all abilities at GCSE and A level. Someone with experience in teaching Criminology would be preferable. A role model for outstanding teaching to both colleagues and students and someone who strives continually to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Someone with high standards of communication and interpersonal skills, committed to working as part of a team.
