Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a Senior to Associate Mechanical Building Services Engineer based in Bolton. The role involves designing, managing, and overseeing complex mechanical building services engineering projects. Responsibilities include developing technical designs, managing project timelines, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, overseeing project execution, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards. The engineer will also engage with clients, provide technical expertise, and support the development of sustainable solutions for a diverse range of projects.
Qualifications
* Expertise in Building Services, including design, implementation, and optimisation of technical solutions.
* Proficiency in Building Maintenance and Facility Management (FM) to support the efficient operation of systems.
* Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for building projects.
* Background in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with applicable knowledge of mechanical systems.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong problem‑solving skills, proficiency in design software, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience with environmentally sustainable design and compliance with energy efficiency regulations is highly desirable.
* Professional membership or accreditation in a relevant engineering organisation is an advantage.
