Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Careers and Apprenticeships team and enhance the industry placement offer for Level 3 learners in the Trust. Building and maintaining relationships across the Trust and with partner colleges will be essential to this role, as well as being a first point of contact for T Level learners for pastoral support and guidance. The post-holder will be a great team worker, supporting other work undertaken by the Careers and Apprenticeships team such as Apprenticeships.

Responsibilities
* Support the provision of high quality industry placements for Level 3 learners within the Trust.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as Trust colleagues and partner colleges to develop placement provision.
* Independently deliver group induction sessions to college students across the Trust.
* Act as first point of contact for learners on placements to ensure all preparatory arrangements are in place for students commencing placements, and provide learners with pastoral support, advice and guidance both prior to, and during, their placement.
* Access and deal with confidential, personal and sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner.
* Ensure that child safeguarding procedures are followed in line with Trust policy.
* Work with the Apprenticeship Lead to highlight and promote progression routes such as Apprenticeships to Level 3 learners.
* To positively promote an environment conducive to learning and to be responsive to the growing educational needs of placement students.
* Work autonomously or as part of a team, with foresight and advanced planning, seeking clarification from colleagues when necessary.
* To attend regular meetings and to take formal notes which will be at a strategic level with managers and external partners around the Trusts T Levels offer.
Locations
We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services. WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses. All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
