Location: 50 Railway Street, Lisburn, BT28 1XP
Hours: 37 hours per week

* PAY: £18.85 per hour
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Community Development Officer (SO1) to support the Communities team within the Leisure & Community Wellbeing directorate. This role has become available following the departure of an existing staff member and will play a key part in supporting community-based initiatives and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development, delivery, and monitoring of community development programmes and initiatives
* Provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to the Communities team
* Liaise with internal departments, community groups, and external stakeholders
* Assist with meetings, reports, correspondence, and record-keeping
* Contribute to project coordination, monitoring outcomes, and maintaining accurate documentation
* Ensure work is carried out in line with relevant policies, procedures, and timescales
Essential Criteria
* Previous experience in a community development, administrative, or project support role
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable
* Experience working within local government or community-focused organisations
* Knowledge of community development principles and partnership working
