The Role: Silcom Recruitment is seeking an aspiring Lighting Designer to join an established client of ours, located around the outskirts of Chichester. Our client is seeking a Junior Lighting Designer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an ideal role for a graduate or early-career designer who is interested in lighting, architecture, or technical design but may not have direct experience in the lighting industry yet. As a Junior Lighting Designer, you’ll join our clients in-house design team and be trained in the fundamentals of lighting design. You’ll learn how to develop lighting layouts, use specialist software, and translate architectural spaces into well-lit, functional, and safe environments. If you enjoy working with CAD software, technical drawings, and visual design, this role offers a great pathway into a specialist design career. Responsibilities & Requirements: Design lighting proposals for a wide range of projects, from homes and workplaces to shops and commercial spaces.
