*Purpose of the Role:* To carry out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across Totalis facilities, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, within deadlines, and in accordance with health and safety regulations. * Carry out joinery work, including fitting doors, skirting, architraves, locks, shelving, partitions, and other timber structures.
* Perform general building maintenance such as minor plumbing, basic electrical work (e.g. changing fittings), plaster patching, tiling, and painting.
* Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
* Assist in the installation, assembly, and repair of office and workshop fixtures, furniture, and fittings.
* Ensure all work is completed safely, to specification, and in compliance with company and statutory health & safety standards.
* Conduct regular inspections and report any defects, hazards, or potential maintenance issues.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time allocation.
* Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required to support maintenance operations.
* Contribute to the ongoing upkeep and presentation of Totalis facilities, promoting a safe and efficient working environment. *Essential Skills & Experience:** Time-served or NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Joinery or Carpentry.
* Proven experience in general building maintenance or similar multi-skilled roles.
* Good knowledge of other trades (basic plumbing, electrical, decorating, tiling, etc.).
* Strong practical skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety standards and safe working practices.
* Full UK driving licence. *Desirable Skills & Experience:** Experience working in commercial or industrial premises.
* Knowledge of facilities management processes and maintenance scheduling.
* Basic IT literacy (for maintenance reporting systems).
