Job Title: Field Performance Manager (FPM)
Location: Weatherlees- Kent- (Full Driving licence is essential due to site visit requirement)
Perm/FTC: Permanent
Hours: 37
Salary: Up to £51,000 per annum- depending on skills and experience
About the role
With the rapidly changing environment and the complexities this brings, working as an FPM will provide you with a wealth of different activities to sink your teeth into.
As a Field performance manager within our Wastewater team, you will be responsible for the performance of safe, compliant and cost-efficient operation and maintenance of all assets within a specific geographical area. You will be primarily looking after the efficiency, productivity, standards and quality to ensure compliance, serviceability and optimisation of treatment assets by leading a team of skilled operators and working alongside teams from different departments including your peers and SMT, MEICA and Process Scientists. Working alongside external partners and stakeholders and positively maintain working relationships will be key to your success in this role
1. Building, leading and directing a competent and effective team to deliver compliance, levels of service and serviceability targets
2. Integrating asset processes into water/wastewater to ensure consistency to asset issues, drive data improvements and inform the business plan to ensure consistency and efficiency of operation
3. Driving team and individual performance in terms of productivity and utilization target achievement
4. Undertaking high level monitoring of operational performance and to take action to resolve as necessary.
5. Liaising with external contractors on works affecting site(s) and manage them where required
6. Ensuring safety processes and procedures are followed within the operational area and ensure that the team comply with the requirements of Health and Safety as set out by Southern Water
7. Keeping an overview of ISO14001 requirements within the operational area to ensure the team comply with the requirements of SW’s Environmental Management System.
8. Coaching, mentor, develop and performance manage the team with a key focus on employee engagement to deliver compliance at least cost
9. Working closely with external regulatory bodies and represent the company to the media as required to manage events and incidents in own area in and out-of-hours as required
