Role Purpose
The Wheelchair Agent is responsible for assisting passengers with mobility needs throughout the airport terminal in a safe, courteous, and professional manner. This role provides wheelchair transportation and customer support to ensure passengers receive timely assistance from check-in through boarding, connections, arrival, and baggage claim.
What you will be doing
1. Assist passengers requiring wheelchair or mobility assistance throughout the airport
2. Transport passengers safely between ticket counters, security checkpoints, gates, baggage claim, and connecting flights
3. Assist passengers with boarding and deplaning aircraft when required
4. Provide excellent customer service and professional communication to passengers and families
5. Assist elderly passengers, individuals with disabilities, and travelers requiring special assistance
6. Handle wheelchairs and mobility equipment safely and properly
7. Coordinate with gate agents, airline staff, and airport personnel to ensure timely passenger assistance
8. Respond promptly to wheelchair service requests and maintain efficient passenger flow
9. Assist with light baggage handling when necessary
10. Follow all airport safety procedures, airline policies, and TSA regulations
11. Report operational concerns, passenger incidents, or equipment issues to supervisors promptly
12. Maintain professionalism, patience, and sensitivity while assisting passengers
13. Perform other duties as requested

What we are looking for:
14. High school diploma or GED
15. Must be 18 years of age or older
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
18. Ability to remain patient, courteous, and professional at all times.
19. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
20. Reliable attendance and punctuality
21. Must have reliable telephone and transportation
22. Previous customer service, hospitality, healthcare, or airport experience
23. Airport terminals, gates, security checkpoints, and baggage claim areas
24. Fast-paced environment with frequent passenger interaction
25. Requires extensive walking throughout airport terminals
26. Exposure to crowded and high-traffic passenger areas
27. Ability to push passengers in wheelchairs for extended periods
28. Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shifts
29. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
30. Ability to assist passengers safely during boarding and deplaning operations
31. Must be able to take verbally direct in English
32. Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
33. Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
34. Must pass a pre-employment background check
35. Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
36. Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials
37. Identification badges must always be visible
38. Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
39. Treat all information as confidential
Pay: $19.75 Hourly
