The successful candidate will deliver regional repairs, voids, planned investments, and major works programmes, ensuring they meet targets for revenue, cost, quality, and time, aligned with the organisation's strategy.
The role includes overseeing contractor performance, managing complex contractor relations to enhance value for money, and is primarily home-based with occasional meetings. You will also manage a multi-disciplinary surveying team across a wide geographical area and oversee budgets.
Key duties include:
* Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key partners for planned investment and repairs.
* Managing and appointing sustainable partnerships with contractors.
* Developing processes and procedures based on data evaluation.
* Collaborating with senior department members at regional and national levels.
* Managing the surveying team and budgets.
Candidate requirements:
* Educated to HND level or equivalent, with a professional qualification in construction, housing, or property.
* Experience delivering planned investment, major works, and responsive repairs at a senior level.
* Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams over wide areas.
* Experience managing large service budgets.
* Knowledge of building law, contracts, and health and safety legislation.
* Experience reporting to executive and board levels.
* Strong collaborative skills within development management teams.
* IT proficiency, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Full clean UK driving license, with willingness to travel as needed.
