A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Head of Digital to lead the digital strategy for a major international events company. This Head of Digital role focuses on shaping a unified approach to digital outreach—bringing together multiple channels, elevating campaign effectiveness, and ensuring audiences receive the right message at the right time.
Please note this role is hybrid working – 3 days onsite in Brighton – and we can only consider candidates who are based in a commutable location.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and developing a cross‑functional digital team while creating a cohesive vision across all digital touchpoints.
* Defining a strategic digital direction that clarifies the purpose and value of each channel across different audience segments.
* Ensuring channel leads stay ahead of digital trends and consistently evolve their platforms and approaches.
* Working with technology teams to enhance and optimise the systems that support digital delivery, including websites, social channels, email tools and mobile applications.
* Overseeing SEO strategy, including adapting to new patterns in user behaviour such as zero‑click interactions and AI‑influenced search.
* Implementing structured briefing and planning processes to support clear communication and aligned campaign execution.
* Developing performance frameworks to track channel effectiveness, turning data into actionable insights for future improvements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Demonstrable experience leading and mentoring digital teams across multiple channels.
* Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, support growth, and encourage collaboration.
* Clear communicator with a calm, thoughtful approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
* Solid understanding of website management, social media ecosystems, email marketing, and app‑based engagement.
* Experience creating and delivering integrated digital strategies across varied platforms.
* Strong grasp of SEO, analytics, and emerging search behaviours influenced by new technology.
* Confidence in analysing digital performance and building measurement models that support data‑led decision‑making.
* Experience creating structured workflows for campaign planning and cross‑team coordination.
* Passionate about digital innovation and continually looking for new, evidence‑based opportunities to enhance the digital mix.
* Experience in events or exhibitions is a bonus.
Compensation and Benefits
For this Head of Digital position, they are offering a salary of up to £65,000 with great benefits and long‑term career prospects.
