Rate – £30 an hour Location: Blackburn Position: Locum Occupational Therapist Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen on a locum basis. This role involves delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring equipment minor adaptations and major adaptations to support their independence and well-being. Key Responsibilities: Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending both standard and specialist equipment. Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients’ homes. Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to create individualized support plans. Maintain thorough and accurate records in line with professional and legal standards. Requirements: HCPC registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy. Demonstrated experience working within a local authority setting. Proficiency in completing manual handling assessments. Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptation processes. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
