Brunton Place Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic GP to join our motivated, supportive and wellorganised practice team as a maternity locum from June 2026 to January 2027.
Our practice is longestablished, expanding, and located in central Edinburgh (EH7), just a stones throw from Calton Hill. We care for a diverse, predominantly young working population and provide highquality clinical care within a friendly, collaborative environment.
We operate a largely telephonebased consulting model, with facetoface appointments and home visits when clinically indicated or requested. Appointments are 15 minutes, with flexibility around clinic structure and opportunities for home working. We are supported by an inhouse pharmacy team and two highly experienced Physician Associates working under GP partner supervision.

3. List size: 10,400 (largely young working population)
4. Negotiable sessions and working days (up to 6 sessions)
5. Competitive sessional rate
6. Low homevisit workload within a compact practice boundary
7. Excellent practice nursing team (including HCA), pharmacy team and physician associates.
8. Close working relationships with community and secondary care teams
9. Highly organised Admin and Reception support
10. Strong culture of IT innovation (remote chronic disease management and medication review options to aid efficiency)
11. Daily clinical coffee break, friendly environment, regular staff outings
