Residential Children’s Home Deputy Manager – Salisbury
We are looking for Deputy Managers to join our Residential Children Services in Salisbury. Our homes vary from a one‑bed property to a six‑bed property, and our children are aged between 6 – 12 on admission.
You will be an experienced Deputy Manager working in an environment and culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
Responsibilities
As Deputy Manager, you will support the registered manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home and the continued development of a team of Residential Child Care Workers who help and support children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and trauma. You will employ trauma‑informed practices that are embedded within our culture and support children in a respectful, supportive environment.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager working in a Children’s Residential Setting
* Hold a Level 5 in Leadership and Management or be prepared to work toward it; Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Work is desirable
* Proven track record with Ofsted and knowledge of the legislative framework
* Valid driving licence (essential)
* Willingness to undergo child protection screening, DBS, and employment references
Working Hours
On average 39 hours a week on a rota basis. You will split your shifts 80 % working directly with young people and 20 % on administrative tasks. You will be required to do sleep‑ins during shifts; you will get paid an additional £50 per sleep‑in.
