Job Summary
The Mounts Medical Centre is looking for a newly qualified or experienced, enthusiastic, motivated GP to join our dedicated team. We are a friendly and supportive practice based in the town centre of Northampton with a diverse patient population of over 165 000 patients.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality patient care.
* Carry out surgery, telephone and video consultations and undertake home visits.
* Liaise with other team members and organisations involved in patient care and respond promptly to queries.
* Investigate and refer patients as appropriate in line with current guidance.
* Deal promptly with results and correspondence.
* Provide cover as required when other GPs are on leave.
* Collect data for audit and QoF purposes.
* Maintain excellent communication with patients and carers.
* Attend clinical, clinical governance and educational meetings.
* Act as a strong team player and collaborative working partner with all team members.
* Effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
* Attend required training events such as PLT and feedback.
* Report significant incidents involving the practice.
Person Specification
* A vocational trained and accredited GP, preferably MRCGP. Current registration with the GMC.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Ability to work with limited supervision.
* IT proficiency and familiarity with primary care clinical systems (practice uses TPP SystmOne).
* Excellent time‑keeping.
* Exceptional team player.
* Good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and QoF.
