Housing First Support Worker
Hourly Rate: £13.55/hr + £1.97 holiday pay = £15.52/hr (£620.80/week before tax)
Contract: 3+ month temporary (potential for extension)
Hours: 40 per week (flexible shifts: 8-4, 9-5 or 10-6)
Location: Cardiff, with an office base in Splott

Moxie People have an opportunity available to join a small, compassionate Housing First team in Cardiff, supporting people who've experienced long-term homelessness, substance misuse and complex trauma to rebuild their lives in their own homes.
This isn't a typical support role. You'll work with a caseload of just 5-6 people, meaning you'll have the time to build genuine trust and make a lasting impact.
What you'll be doing as the Housing First Support Worker
* Supporting individuals who've experienced rough sleeping to sustain their tenancies
* Building trust through consistent, person-centred relationships
* Encouraging clients to engage with health, recovery, and community activities
* Using trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches
* Coordinating support with local agencies and partners
* Celebrating small wins, from reconnecting with family to decorating a first flat

What you'll need
* Experience in housing, homelessness, probation, advice or support work
* Advocacy skills
* Empathy, reliability, and a sense of purpose
* Understanding of Trauma and Psychologically Informed Environments
* Confidence when managing challenging and confrontational situations
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Enhanced DBS check
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
