The Facilities Supervisor is a member of the LPT Estates and Facilities team. The postholder will support the Facilities Co-ordinator in delivering high-quality soft facilities services and be responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of local site services and facilities on a day-to-day basis.
Key Details:
* 37.5 hours per week, with shifts covering weekends & bank holidays.
* Reports to the Facilities Co-ordinator.
* Ensures services are delivered according to National Standards, are compliant, and provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
* May deputise for the Facilities Co-ordinator when needed.
* Must demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, good communication, organisational skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Line management of Facilities staff.
2. Produce and manage stock orders, raise requisitions, inspect deliveries, and process invoices.
3. Lead and guide Facilities staff, supervise roles, and promote operational excellence.
4. Ensure adherence to Trust colour coding to prevent cross-infection.
5. Oversee meal preparation and regeneration at ward level following Food Safety policies.
6. Report defects promptly using established systems.
7. Implement deep cleaning procedures, including hydrogen peroxide decontamination, steam cleaning, carpet cleaning, and curtain changes.
8. Promote the Facilities department and deliver a customer-focused service.
9. Develop and update skills, keeping pace with technological advancements.
