Waste Compliance Officer Apply Now Job Number HCC27801 Location Ware Directorate Growth & Environment Salary Range £30,559 progressing to £33,366 Contract Type Permanent Full Time/Part Time Full Time Closing date 01-Jun-2025 Job Title: Waste Compliance Officer Starting Salary: £30,559 progressing to £33,366 pay award pending Hours: 37.0 Location: Offices at the Ware Recycling Centre (main base) and Farnham House, Stevenage (with some flexible working) Contract Type: Permanent Directorate: Growth & Environment About the team This is an exciting opportunity to join the Waste Management Unit, the Waste Disposal Authority for Hertfordshire, responsible for waste disposal and treatment contracts and managing a network of Recycling Centres.With a particular focus on the Recycling Centre network, we are recruiting for a permanent Waste Compliance Officer to support management of the 16 Recycling Centres including orders, invoices, site reporting, reconciling and analysis of data and waste treatment across the network. About the role The role is in a fast paced, very busy team. The Waste Management budget is c£54million and there is a huge amount of information provided by contractors and with daily operation across the network that requires accurate recording and management. Therefore, you’ll need to be able to work under pressure, be well organised and pro-active, and have excellent attention to detail.
