Commercial Operations Specialist
Cambridge, Hybrid
This company are leaders in the cancer diagnostics space, their platform allows patients to be diagnosed quicker and with higher accuracy, enabling clinicians to make informed treatment decisions. The company partner with biotech’s and pharma companies and are looking to add to their commercial team, to increase their presence in the market.
As a commercial operations specialist you’ll work closely with Account Directors, Finance teams, Project Managers and the VP of Commercial, Pharma Services. Your role will be responsible for supporting sales teams to develop and complete necessary automation, implementation of best practices for proposals, workflows, and support the sales team with RFP’s and any necessary projects and activities as needed.
Your responsibilities may include:
* Working with sales leadership to develop organisational goals.
* Propose and implement solutions to the sales process, involving key stakeholders at important milestones.
* Work with the business development team and project managers to generate change orders and to ensure accurate data alignment into CRM system.
* Collaborates effectively with Sales, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance to ensure contracts align with Company standards.
* Review and identify standard contract terms for consistency and accuracy.
* Mapping of workflows and best practices to support the sales operations.
* Provide analyses of sales team performance to drive divisional growth.
* Proactively partners with operations to have a firm grasp of processes, test menu to confirm appropriate pricing.
* Ensures contracts coincide with current budget tools.
* Utilise current tools to ensure change orders/amendments are created accurately.
* Recognising and responding to changes in internal/external environment; stimulates change and champions new initiatives.

Ideally you will have:
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Biology or business-related field.
* A minimum of five years experience, preferably in healthcare with strong understanding of contracting and laboratory processes
* 5+ years of experience utilising CRM (preferably Salesforce)
* Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
* Clear thinking and problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects within operations function involving process improvement.
* Experience with system implementation and upgrading.
* Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation
* Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills
* Proficient with MS Office programs
* Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards
