skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor
to join a leading contractor delivering a high-profile construction project. Youll play a pivotal role in managing all
costs associated with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP packages based on design drawings and specifications.
Lead tendering and procurement processes
evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Develop project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and Value of Work Done (VOWD) reports.
Construction Track and control project expenditure, monitoring against budgets and reporting variances.
Manage variations, change orders, and claims within the MEP scope of works.
Administer subcontractor and supplier contracts using platforms such as
CEMAR .
Identify and mitigate commercial and financial risks.
Produce accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cost-to-complete analysis.
Post-Construction Prepare and agree final accounts for MEP works.
Provide full commercial handover documentation and ensure smooth financial closeout.
Skills & Experience
Degree in
Quantity Surveying ,
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
3+ years experience within MEP or building services commercial management.
Strong understanding of
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, installation methods, and building standards.
Proficient with
CostX ,
Bluebeam, and
Microsoft Excel .
Strong working knowledge of
NEC4
and bespoke forms of contract.
Exceptional analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
