About the Role
We are currently recruiting two experienced Legal Secretaries to join a well-established firm in the Belfast area.
These are urgent vacancies, and the employer offers flexibility around working days and hours - for example, 4-5 days per week, with adaptable schedules to suit the right candidates.
While previous legal experience is ideal, the firm is also open to experienced medical secretaries, personal assistants, or other administrative professionals with strong organisational and audio typing skills looking to transition into a legal setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accurately transcribe correspondence and legal documents from audio dictation
2. Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to fee earners
3. Manage case files and maintain accurate digital and paper records
4. Prepare standard legal documentation and forms
5. Handle incoming calls and client queries in a professional and helpful manner
6. Organise appointments, meetings, and diary management for solicitors
7. Use Microsoft Office applications to manage correspondence and documentation
Skills & Experience Required
8. Proven experience in a secretarial, administrative, or PA role
9. Strong typing and audio transcription skills
10. Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
12. Clear and professional communication skills, written and verbal
13. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
14. (Desirable) Previous experience in conveyancing, probate, or similar legal work
