The Role
Gilmore College supports students with many different learning and support needs. Our staff work with students across all year levels and programs. As an Education Assistant – Special Needs you will support the delivery of planned educational programs, working under teacher direction to help individual students and small groups. You will ideally contribute to a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment, supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Experience working with students who present with learning and behavioural challenges, mental health and medical needs, or limited English literacy, English as Additional Language (EALD) is highly desirable. Training and experience in implementing Direct Instruction programs will also be well regarded.
