Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance) is a partnership of eight leading companies delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. As part of the AMP8 Asset Management Period, we are preparing to undertake our largest project yet. Location: Peterborough/Hybrid – role requires 3 days working in Peterborough office.
About the Role
As a Senior Planner you will play a critical role within an integrated project delivery team, ensuring all project plans are accurate, robust, and effectively maintained. You will work closely with site, commercial, and engineering teams, taking full ownership of the project plan to drive success, mitigate risks, and challenge delays or deviations.
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead collaborative digital planning and production meetings, ensuring all team members, including suppliers, have clarity on their roles and expectations.
 * Coordinate with delivery teams to maintain consistency in key assumptions, methodologies, and outputs.
 * Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that accurately reflect the full project scope.
 * Identify and document any delays, supporting claims for additional time or cost.
 * Create 4D animations to facilitate digital rehearsals of construction activities.
 * Collect and analyze progress data, identifying causes of deviations and implementing corrective actions.
 * Uphold planning standards across @one Alliance, ensuring adherence to published processes.
 * Ensure the integrity of project plans, ensuring they withstand rigorous scrutiny.
What We Are Looking For
 * Extensive experience working on large-scale, high-value projects within the civil engineering sector, ideally in the water industry.
 * Proficiency in Primavera P6.
 * Experience with 4D planning tools and techniques.
 * Strong ability to interpret and extract key insights from technical drawings.
 * Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
