Lead Pricing Analyst Lead and influence pricing development – take ownership of complex analyses, refine models, and guide junior colleagues to build technical capability across the team. We are seeking a Lead Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing function, responsible for developing and delivering pricing models and analyses. This role blends technical expertise with coaching, stakeholder engagement, and project management. You will conduct complex pricing analyses, enhance models and rating algorithms, and ensure rigorous quality control. The role also involves clearly communicating findings to support business decisions, coaching team members to strengthen technical skills, and building effective working relationships with Underwriting and Pricing colleagues. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports, implement process improvements, and independently lead projects to achieve agreed outcomes, all while contributing to the continuous development of high-quality pricing solutions.About youYou will also bring Essential: Track record of technical model development and end-to-end analysis. Strong numerical and analytical skills, including data cleaning and query writing (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python). Ability to communicate technical outputs clearly to a range of stakeholders. Experience coaching or mentoring junior colleagues and supporting team capability development. Proven ability to work independently, managing multiple projects or tasks concurrently. Desirable: Experience in a pricing team. Experience building GLM loss cost or demand models in Emblem. Conducting one-way analyses, MI reviews, or variance analyses. Up-to-date knowledge of pricing best practice in general insurance. Experience in end-to-end pricing delivery, including cross-team collaboration.
