PROCESS ENGINEER OR SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
Based Livingston – Site Role / 18 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Base Salary Range £50-60,000 DOE Plus Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer or a Senior Process Engineer DOE to join the team and help them continue to grow over the next 18 months.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Process/Senior Process Engineer will support the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of robust manufacturing processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent operational performance aligned with engineering strategy and production requirements.You will collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to optimise yield, enhance efficiency, and maintain compliance with relevant ISO standards for aseptic processing.
Support the design, installation, and commissioning of new production processes to improve efficiency and yield.
Contribute to root cause analysis, identify process improvements, and implement change proposals.
Assist with scale-up and scale-down activities, updating process FMEAs and equipment configurations where required.
Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
Provide first-line technical troubleshooting during process handover to production.
Partner with Quality Assurance to close non-conformances and change controls, ensuring validation and process documentation remain up to date.
Promote operational excellence, continuous improvement, and 5S/visual management practices across engineering and production environments.
Educated to degree level in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry or a closely related discipline, you are an experienced process, manufacturing or production engineer. This will suit candidates from highly regulated process engineering environments including, biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, opto-electronics and potentially downstream chemical manufacturing. Candidates will have a good understanding of ISO quality standards (ideally ISO13485) and strong analytical process and continuous development skills.
The successful candidate will be joining a growing and fast paced organization with some excellent engineering and production expansion challenges ahead. Your base salary (£50-60,000 DOE) is supplemented by a generous bonus scheme, excellent company pension, 33 days annual leave, company sick pay, life insurance and onsite parking. Candidates should note that this is a site based role Monday to Friday with flexible hours start and stop times available.
